Tom served in the Royal Artillery before returning to Manchester and settling in Prestwich, becoming the landlord of the Church Pub in the village.
As a proud local resident and veteran, he took on the responsibility of organising the local Remembrance parade due to the closure of the Royal British Legion. It was his vision, and care for the veteran community, that saw Prestwich Remembers established in 2018.
Tom served as an Army Radio Operator for thirteen years, during which he was deployed to Afghanistan, Jordan, South Africa and all over Europe. Also taking a short career break to join the Army ‘White Helmets’ Motorcycle Display team.
Tom has been with Prestwich Remembers since its inception in 2018 and is actively engaged in a number of charitable and community organisations. He is passionate about the difference he can make to others.
Susan is an Accounts Manager with over 20 years of experience in accounts and Banking. Her inspiration to help support veterans comes from her Grandfather who served in and Survived World War 2 as a Chief Petty Officer in the Royal Navy.
Susan is a Prestwich resident who is passionate about supporting the local Veteran community and Fundraising, she hopes to continue with this through the growth of Prestwich Remembers.
Carol is a nurse with more than 20 years experience, most of this time spent within operating theatres.
She has been involved with Prestwich Remembers since it was created in 2018. Carol got involved as Prestwich resident, passionate about the continuance of the Prestwich Remembrance Sunday Parade.
She hopes through the growth of Prestwich Remembers and fundraising events, more local veterans can be helped.
Dan served as an Army Officer for 25 years, during which time he was deployed to the Balkans, East Africa and the Middle East. He was awarded several British Army Commendations during his service.
Dan is passionate about supporting our veteran community. Through his support, he hopes to continue to promote the essential work carried out by the amazing team at Prestwich Remembers, and support the well-being of veterans through events.
